Spring has finally arrived, which means: It’s a beautiful day outside! Birds are singing, flowers are blooming… on days like these, kids like you… should be editing on the Mineplex Wiki!
(I totally didn’t butcher the quote nor the transition this time)
Well then, what does we have in offer this time? We worked on a special project, and we can make a major announcement for all of you today! But before we get into that, let’s recap what happened in February.
Remarkable contributions
KfeatT created a page for the newest holiday game, Rose Rush. Thanks!
Nicodami worked on Rose Rush too next to adding a 2019 Valentines Event page.
I made a PewDiePie page following his visit on the server.
CryptoFoxGaming made an extensive guide for the Factions gamemode on Bedrock. We’ve decided to award you with the User of the Month tag for including a lot of detail!
Discussion, feedback and internal changes
If you've looked at the right side of the Wiki today, you might have already noticed the exciting news: We’ve launched our official Wiki Discord server! This server will allow you to talk with fellow editors about anything you’d like. With the built-in edit log, we can now catch vandals and other rule breakers in an instant! It will also help us centralizing community interaction and enable us to respond to questions and issues extremely quickly. Well what are you waiting for?

Along with the new PewDiePie page, I added a YouTuber infobox ({{YT Infobox}}) and a rough outline of a YT navbox ({{YouTuber Navbox}}). The infobox includes a live subscriber counter, which was made possible by a new extension I enabled on the Wiki. Other than that, you’re good to go if you want to create a new page for any Mineplex YouTuber. Here’s a great tip if you’re lazy like me: feel free to copy the PewDiePie article and simply change all values in the templates which don’t fit.
In the last month, Nicolas and other anonymous contributors made huge changes to the History pages. This includes collapsible update logs, as well as updates sorted by month, which should make the page less cluttered. Be sure to leave your feedback in the replies.
The 5 year anniversary was a great opportunity for me to relive all the great memories the Wiki had offered me in the last years, but it’s time to return to the original design. We’ve removed all festivities for now. Personally, I really enjoyed the event and consider releasing more in the future!
Upcoming content
Yep, we’re still working out a solution on the staff situation. I can assure you I’ve had promising talks with Emily (EmmaLie), the lead of Community Management, and I’ll try my best to give you some sort of update on the matter in the next newsletter.
Our next featured minigame is Nano Games! It’s a pretty recent release, so the only difficulty should be updating every single one of the huge number of gamemodes in time. We’d appreciate your help with this project!
If you have any other suggestions for the newsletters or you just want to share your thoughts, make sure to leave a reply. Thanks!
