Mineplex

A Barbarian's Life, also known as Barbarians, is a Removed minigame on Mineplex that was released on September 15, 2013. It was removed shortly afterwards, partly due to the amount of lag caused by everyone breaking blocks. In A Barbarian's Life, players had to fight each other in a free-for-all match comprised of destructible wood objects.

REJECTED MINEPLEX MINI-GAMES!

Parker_Games plays through six unreleased or removed games on Mineplex. For A Barbarian's Life, skip to 0:12.

There was only one team: the yellow Players Team (originally the green Barbarians Team). Players could break all objects that were related to wood with the normal break speed; as a result, the majority of the map was comprised of wood. The goal of this game was to be the last man standing by killing off all of the player's opponents.

Over time, just like survival, players lost hunger. If hunger was depleted enough, players would not be able to regenerate and would eventually starve. Hitting other players replenished the hunger bar by one shank.

TheCampingRusher plays A Barbarian's Life on Mineplex.

If players died, they respawned as a pig. Pigs could move around like normal, but they could not damage other players and were restricted to breaking blocks. However, they could still get attacked by other barbarians, and, having no armor, pigs were especially susceptible to dying. Pigs respawned an unlimited number of times. However, as of January 10, 2015, there were no longer any pigs; dead players stayed dead.

The number of players were listed on the right side of the screen, as "Players Alive" (green) and "Players Dead" (red). Once there were few enough alive players, the list would expand to show individual usernames.
