The following list details all spells that were present in the beta release of Wizards. Many spells never made it into the final release of the minigame, most likely to reduce complexity. Most of the spells that are in the final version are renamed.

Spells[]

There are four types of spells, each with their own class of abilities. Certain spells are able to damage the environment.

Attack Spells[]

Spells of destruction.

Iron Sword

The main purpose of Attack Spells are to inflict harm on other players.

Droom Summons exploding anvils over everyone near you! Anvils appear over the heads of all opponents around the player, dealing damage and creating a crater when they fall.

Fireball Be a [sic] object of fear and awe! Summon a blazing fireball! Fire a fireball in the direction the player is facing, creating an explosion on impact that damages surrounding players and blocks.

Lance Summon a lance of explosions! Fire a straight beam of particles in the direction the player is facing. Upon impact with a player, it will deal damage.

Lightning Strike Right click on the block before the chasm and a mighty dirt bridge will appear![Note 1] Summon a lightning bolt on the block the cursor is on.

50 20 Wooden Axe
Magic Missile The basic spell all beginner mages are taught. This creates a magic missile that is commonly attributed to the magic profession. Fire a beam of particles in the direction the player is facing; it tracks another player to some extent. Upon impact with a player, it will deal damage.

  • Range - Spell Level x 15

Rainbow Beam Magical girl beam of rainbows! This may not do much damage, but it sure is pretty! Fire a straight, multicolored beam of particles in the direction the player is facing; it reaches its target instantly. Upon impact with another player, it will deal damage.

Rumble Creates an [sic] targeted earthquake in the direction you point from the block you right click! Create a flurry of particles on the ground in the direction the player is facing, which damages a player upon impact.

30 5 Dirt
Summon Wolves Summons a pack of wolves and assigns you as the leader. They will fight for you and after 30 seconds, will disappear. Summon a pack of tamed wolves, which will fight alongside the player.

  • Duration (seconds) - 30

Rune Spells[]

Spells for the creation of runes.

Nether Star Icon

Rune Spells create runes on the ground, which last for a while and can support players or damage them instead. Players must be more cautious of runes, as runes that they cast not only buff them/harm their enemies, but can also do the opposite.

Explosive Rune Draws a rune that explodes after a delay! Draw a circle of fire on the ground, which explodes after a delay.

Rune of Healing Draws a rune of healing players can step inside to recover their health. Draw a rune on the ground, which heals all players who step over it.

Launch Rune Draws a white rune on the ground. Rune lasts for a minute and will activate when stepped on to launch the people into the air. Draw a white rune on the ground, which launches all players who step over it into the air.

Teleport Rune This draws a teleport rune on the ground. The created rune is useable by anyone and lasts for 5 seconds after the 2 second warmup period. The teleport is one way, you cannot return. Draw a rune on the ground, which teleports all players who step over it to a random location on the map. The teleport is one way.

70 40 Ender Pearl
Trap Rune Draws a [sic] explosion rune on the ground! The rune takes 5 seconds to prepare and will damage even you! Draw a rune on the ground, which becomes invisible after activation and will damage all players who step over it.

  • Range - (Spell Level x 4) + 12

Support Spells[]

Spells of assistance.

Iron Boots

Support Spells extend the role of some Rune Spells in that they buff the player in some way; however, they differ in that no runes are drawn and buffs do not affect opponents.

Flash Teleport to the block you are looking at! Teleport to the block the player is looking at. If the block is out of range, the player will teleport the farthest they can.

Heal Low on health and need to retreat? Use this! Heal yourself up! Recover health instantly upon activation.
  • Strength (health) - (Spell Level / 2) + 1.5
50 30 Potion of Healing
Speed Boost Gain a speed potion effect to outrun your enemies. Attain a temporary Speed X buff.
  • Duration - Spell Level x 30
  • Tier - Spell Level
20 100 Feather

Misc Spells[]

Misc spells that don't fit in. These spells generally effect [sic] the world itself.

Block of Coal (grid)

Like the description explains, spells in this category don't belong in the other ones. Some spells, however, do share the trait of creating and altering blocks.

Bridge Right click on the block before the chasm and a mighty dirt bridge will appear. Create a bridge composed of dirt. Right clicking on a block before the gap the player wants to cross will create this bridge.

Implode Gathers the blocks at target location and scatters them about the area. Scatter blocks in a selected area, similar to an implosion.

  • Implosion Width - Spell Level x 2
50 30 TNT
Launch Cast the spell by hitting the victim and they will be sent flying into the air! Send an opponent straight up into the air by punching them with the spell active. Mainly used for causing fall damage.
  • Launch Height (blocks) - (Spell Level x 3) + 5
60 20 Feather
Spiderman Shoot webs just like your favorite hero! Create cobwebs that will trap and slow down enemies, similar to a normal cobweb; can affect the player as well. Once trapped, enemy is vulnerable to other attacks.
  • Webs - Spell Level x 2

Stone Wall Create a wall of stone! Create a wall of stone, which, if used correctly, can temporarily block ranged attacks, as well as deter chasing enemies.
  • Height (blocks) - Spell Level + 1
  • Width (blocks) - Spell Level x 5
60 30 Stone
Wizard's Compass Displays particles pointing to the closest enemy! Directs the player to the nearest enemy by way of particles. Useful for finding hiding enemies, or detecting if there are any near the player. None 5 4 Compass

  1. This description is likely to be erroneous, as it does not seem to relate to this spell at all; instead, the Bridge spell has an identical description, which better suits it. In this way, the official description for this spell is unknown.
