Staff abilities[]


Position Responsibilities
  • Delete and undelete pages, page histories, and uploaded files.
  • Protect a page so it cannot be edited or renamed by users without admin rights or autoconfirmed status.
  • Block IP addresses or user names from editing.
  • Quickly revert undesirable edits with the "rollback" feature.
  • Edit the interface by changing system messages and skins.
  • Promote other users to wiki staff members.
  • Monitor the wiki, the Wiki Chat and the Wiki Discord server for and delete spam, vandalism, and other offenses.
  • Quickly revert undesirable edits.
FANDOM staff
  • Possess full access to FANDOM.


The "founder" of a wiki, or the person who first requested its creation, is given both administrator and bureaucrat access automatically.

What can staff members not do?[]

Staff members should not use their powers to settle editing disputes; for example, to lock a page on a version they prefer in an editing dispute that isn't vandalism. Staff member abilities should be used to help keep the wiki clear of vandalism, spam, and users who make malicious edits, but not for simple disagreements between users acting in good faith.

The ideal admin should not be considered "in charge." Rather, they are just someone who is trusted to have a few extra buttons and to use them for the benefit of the wiki.


Applying for staff[]

Dedicated contributors to the wiki can apply to become a wiki staff member, given that there are open positions and certain prerequisites are met. If an application is successful, the applicant will be granted the abilities of a regular staff member while their performance in the position is assessed for one to two weeks.

If there are no active staff members on the wiki, use the Forum to nominate users to become administrators or bureaucrats. Once a community decision has been reached (or if there is no active community to debate the decision), please leave a message on the wiki adoption requests page and FANDOM staff can provide the rights.

Community voting[]

For all adminship and bureaucratship requests, the community will vote on whether a user gains rights or not. Bureaucrat rights will be then be decided by a secondary discussion among admins.

Suspended policy
The inactivity policy is suspended due to the current situation. For more information, see here.

A staff member who has been inactive for a long period of time will lose their rights in order to maintain a consistent number of active righted users. A message will be put on the user's message wall three days before demotion occurs.

Depending on the occupied position, the amount of time to demotion varies. If the user returns to the wiki after their demotion and remains active for two weeks, they may be considered for rights again.

Verified Mineplex staff[]

As the wiki is not officially affiliated with Mineplex, being a staff member for the Mineplex server team does not automatically result in being promoted to a managerial position on this site. It may be taken into account if someone wishes to be righted, however.

While Mineplex staff members will have to apply for a wiki staff position like a regular user, they can still "link" their FANDOM account with their Mineplex website account. These "verified" staff members will be designated as such on their user page, and receive special tags when posting on a user's message wall, under an article's comments, and on the wiki's Forum.
